What shows will The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School perform at Cabot Circus?
Performed at Culter’s Hall, Quakers Friars on Saturday the the 9th of December, there will be two performances, one of each of the following shows:
The Elves and the Shoemaker, Saturday 9th December at 11 AM
The story begins in 1915, a shoemaker, injured in the war, has come home but faces challenges in recreating his charming and famous footwear.
Before long, a small-scale mystery unfolds as he endeavours to rescue The Lost Soles Shoe Emporium from the grasp of the villainous Lady Thorne!
Experience this fresh, festive interpretation of the classic tale, complete with captivating music and puppetry.
Adapted and directed by Liz Felton, the show is suitable for ages 5+
The Nativity: While Shepherds Watched, Saturday 9th December at 2 PM
A young expectant couple, three magi researching the heavens, and two bored shepherd children experience the most extraordinary December in Bethlehem.
Men (both wise and not-so-wise), talking sheep, angels, a family of shepherds, camels, a malevolent Herod, and a mix of old and new carols contribute to an enchanting retelling of the story of the first Christmas.
Expect wonder, humour, music, and festive cheer in this tale as old as time.
Written by Kim Durham and directed by Chloe Masterton, the show is suitable for ages 5+
