Charity and Community
Cabot Circus is pleased to announce its Charity of the Year for 2020 is St Peter’s Hospice.
St Peter’s Hospice is a Bristol charity caring for adults diagnosed with a terminal illness and for the care of those at the end of their lives. We aim to improve the quality of their living and dying while extending care and support to their families and loved ones. Our aim is to give dignity, privacy and comfort to those who need specialist care.
We provide physical, psychological and spiritual care for our patients in their own homes and community settings, as well as at the Hospice itself situated in Brentry. We also teach other healthcare professionals about how to care for people at the end of their lives as well as giving advice to anyone who needs it via our 24 hour clinical advice line.
All of the care provided is given free of charge therefore we rely heavily on the generosity of the people of Bristol to help us provide this service for our community. For more insight into how we help please watch our short video below or visit our website.
We also work with Key4Life offering work experience and support getting young people back into work and will continue to work with LinkAge and Communty of Purpose by hosting events in the centre and sponsorship of the Bristol Young Hero Awards.
